Mothers Day

Missed Sadie so much today.  I had thought today may not be so bad but when I sat for a moment on my own I realised how sad I felt and just could have curled up and spent the day crying.  Generally though, after a good cry I can get on with the rest of the day.  Drew had purposely kept the plans minimal so we just headed offfor a walk with Pat.  We had a lovely day, but I have had a heavier heart all day. That impossible question

Time and again I ask myself how to handle the questionof how many children I have and I often find myself avoiding that conversation topic - trying to divert someone I have just met from talking kids.  This is not great when I am trying to build relationships as part of my job, but what potenial client wants to hear me say that I have 2 children, Sadie and Pat, but sadly Sadie died 18 months ago???
